Responsibilities Provide real-time Fukienese (Hokkien) English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders. Interpret with accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism in immigration, legal, and administrative settings. Adhere to USCIS/DHS compliance standards and interpreter ethics. Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests. Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits. Qualifications Native or near-native fluency in Fukienese (Hokkien) and English. 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, or community interpreting preferred). Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness. Strong telephone communication and accuracy under pressure. Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 security clearance. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay: $28–35/hour (rare-dialect premium).
