Pricing and Market Access Associate - Pharmaceuticals

 

Job Description & Key responsibilities:

The Pricing and Market Access Associate will provide service to both external customers and also support internal management

  Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of market access and pricing strategy
  • Assist in the preparation of relevant submissions and listing agreements for public payers, private payers, formularies and buying groups
  • Work with team members to develop reimbursement strategies
  • Assist in the compliance and reporting to the Patented Medicines Prices Review Board (PMPRB).
  • Assist in managing semi-annual price reporting requirements,
  • Meet all PMPRB regulatory requirements, manage issues and support in preparing launch product submissions to the PMPRB.
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of current and future regulations
  • Reporting – Compile up- to-date information for internal staff; reports may include sales reporting, pricing information, market access and formulary information
  • Liaise with consulting agency with the development and delivery of submission documents to health technology assessment agencies (i.e. CDR, INESSS) and provincial drug and private plans.
  • Support consulting agency in executing the pCPA negotiation.
  • Assists in the creation of clinical and economic package.
  • Work with cross functional teams to compile and review the submission package
  • Participates in pre- and post-submission meetings with stakeholders .
  • Assist in facilitating listing agreements with the federal, provincial and territorial public drug plans
  • Work with team members to develop reimbursement strategies
  • Actively engage and manage payer negotiations with key stakeholders at both the public and private level.

 

 

Skills & Qualification

The successful candidate is a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic team player who is resourceful and dedicated and has competencies in adapting to changing environments.

Minimum qualifications:

  • University Degree
  • Must have at least 3 years hands-on pricing and market access experience in a pharmaceutical, environment.
  • Experience in marketing pharmaceuticals or medical products into hospitals and healthcare setting is an asset
  • Highly energetic team player with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience using social media tools is an asset
  • Very strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage own workload whilst multi-tasking in order to meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, strong innovative and creative marketing skills. Must have entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Must have ability to learn both technical and product related materials to be able to assist in compiling submissions
  • High energy, self-motivated, and results-oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
