We are looking for someone who can lead Platform Engineer in financial services to support challengers!

## About UPSIDER
Upsider is a company that develops and provides corporate card SaaS "UPSIDER" for growing companies with the mission of "creating a global financial platform that supports challengers".
Launched in September 2020, the number of active users has already reached thousands and the retention rate has reached 99%. In addition, in the Series C round, 15 billion yen in May 2022 and 46.7 billion yen in October 2022 were completed.

## Our Platform Team
The Platform Team plays a key role in providing secure and reliable services to our users. We enable all engineers to be productive with fast and stable release management, full observability support; and we empower our business to move as quickly as possible. We are involved in Open-Source, and work closely with the CNCF and other open-source projects, and value contributions both technical and community to the projects we use daily.

## What you’ll work on
As a Platform Engineer, you will be working on various areas of our Platform stack, including Kubernetes, Istio, Prometheus, the Grafana stack, provisioning with Crossplane, and many more Cloud Native technologies, as well as other bespoke solutions. You will be required to research upcoming technologies, make the case for their adoption, as well as support new and existing tech initiatives from our dev teams.

We view our systems from two different angles - one being the technical area, which we call “Pillar”, and another being “Purpose”.

Although you can have some focus area(s) of your choice, you will be tasked to tackle all different areas in Platform. Expect this role to have breadth as well as depth in the tasks and technologies that you’ll work with.

スキル・資格

必須スキル（Must）
・Understanding of information security fundamentals, including secure development lifecycle, security in modern public cloud environments, and threat modeling.
・Experience operating Kubernetes
・Experience operating GCP
・Development experience with the Go language
・IaC experience using Terraform and strong GitOps principles
・We are a distributed team across Japan and Europe; strong English language skills are required, both spoken and written.
・Willingness to learn Japanese

歓迎スキル（Want）
・Experience building and operating a web system in an on-premises environment
・Experience building and operating a network in an on-premises environment
・Experience operating Istio-based service meshes
・Web application development experience
・Kotlin development experience
・Experience operating AWS or another public cloud
・Experience operating PCI-DSS
・Open-source contributions
・Japanese language proficiency N3 or above
