Role and Responsibilities

The Supervisor role includes but is not limited to:

Customer Offering:

  • Deliver exemplary customer service by creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere.
  • Greet customers as they enter the store and guide them to products when required.
  • Educate advise and suggest cannabis products based on customer needs ensuring all recommendations prioritize safe and responsible consumption.
  • Resolve customer complaints in the absence of management and ensure management is informed of all incidents.
  • Accountable for executing product rollouts and launches in partnership with management.
  • Utilize local market trends to make recommendations for improving customer offerings.
  • Evaluate promotional programs for effectiveness and provide actionable feedback to management.
  • Foster a store culture that is passionate about cannabis and committed to customer satisfaction.

Day-to-Day Operations:

  • Meet or exceed department financial targets in collaboration with management.
  • Ensure compliance with merchandising display and pricing guidelines.
  • Assist with all operational duties including ordering receiving and inventory management in partnership with management.
  • Supervise store cleanliness and maintenance escalating issues as needed.
  • Manage store communication (mail email voicemail) in the absence of management.
  • Set daily operational tasks and objectives for the team when management is unavailable.
  • Review and execute promotional flyers events and special promotions appropriately.
  • Stock shelves and coolers ensuring products are neatly organized and inventory levels are maintained.
  • Participate in routine store maintenance and cleaning tasks.
  • Stay up to date on industry legislation trends and new products.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum: 1 year of supervisory experience (preferred).
  • Minimum: 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Minimum: 2 years of retail and/or hospitality experience.
  • Cannabis liquor or healthcare experience is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Mandatory Certifications by Province:
    • BC : Selling It Right Certification.
    • AB : SellSafe Certification.
    • SK : CRTP Certification.
    • MB : CRWTP Certification.
    • ON : CannSell Certification.
  • First Aid Certification is considered an asset.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check .
  • Working knowledge of regulations as they pertain to the sale of cannabis.

  • Reliable responsible and detail-oriented.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older AB (19 in BC. Sask. MAN. ONT.).
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
