Job Description

Park Paving Ltd. is a well-established, locally owned and operated company with 50 years of experience in the road construction industry, and we are currently seeking a dedicated _ Project Superintendent  _to lead our projects for the upcoming construction season.

The Project Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of road construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong leader who can manage crews, schedules, resources, and liaise with clients and stakeholders.

Employment season May 15 - Dec 1

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily operations for road construction projects.

• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.

• Resource allocation and management of crews, materials, and equipment.

• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety regulations and company policies.

• Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, testers, engineers, crew members, and subcontractors.

• Prepare and review project documentation, including schedules, reports, and budgets.

• Conduct regular site inspections and provide feedback for quality improvement.

• Address any issues or conflicts that may arise on-site with effective problem-solving skills.

• Cost management and financial deliveries as per project budget and contract requirements.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in road construction or a related field.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role with strong leadership skills.
• Strong understanding of road construction processes, regulations, and safety practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for managing teams and interacting with stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
