Job Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical and Electronics (E&E) Engineer to lead the design and integration of advanced vehicle network systems , with a focus on gateway architectures , various CAN protocols , and body control functions .

The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end software architecture decisions for next-generation Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs) , ensuring scalable, secure, and future-proof solutions.

Business Content / Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design of the SDV platform with a focus on vehicle gateways and CAN network topologies (e.g., CAN-FD, CAN-HS, CAN-LIN).
• Define and review the system and software architecture of all relevant ECUs.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, cybersecurity, diagnostics, and cloud services teams to deliver integrated vehicle solutions.
• Evaluate and define software interfaces, data exchange formats, and communication strategies between ECUs and central computer platforms.
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards.
• Participate in platform development planning, toolchain selection, and development processes in a CI/CD environment.
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical leadership to internal and supplier development teams.
• Work closely with validation teams to ensure robust testing and diagnostics of gateway and associated ECU functions.

Work Experience / Application Conditions

Requirements — Must Have

(Those with experience in any of the following areas)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in automotive embedded systems, including 3+ years in architecture-related work.
• Deep understanding of vehicle network architecture and interoperability between multiple ECUs.
• Expertise in protocols such as CAN, UDS, DoIP, FlexRay, MOST, and Ethernet.
• Experience with systems engineering workflows.
• Knowledge of FOTA/OTA/SOTA frameworks.
• Experience deploying/locating cloud-based artifacts.
• Excellent documentation skills (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
• Strong software architecture skills (UML).
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management ability.

Nice Requirements — Good to Have

• Knowledge of software components/ECU integration procedures.
• Knowledge of Ethernet-based communications (e.g., SOME/IP, DoIP).
• Experience with cloud-connected vehicle platforms.
• Experience designing and implementing AUTOSAR (Classic or Adaptive) architectures.

Language Skills

• English: Business level
• Japanese: Native-level proficiency (N2 or above for foreigners)
